Base Description

 Up is a tourist destination site which is a tribute to the Traveller from Earth, Carl Fredricksen and his cohorts Russell and Dug. Legend has it that Carl’s balloon house landed at this location eons ago. Though no one is certain for sure, historians believe Carl helped the original inhabitants of the planet stave off a apocalyptic event. Apparently the planet’s atmosphere was evaporating due to some unknown force but Carl caused this to reverse by him releasing some of the helium from a few of his balloons which caused a chemical reaction to the atmosphere which started to replenish itself. In thanks to Carl, Russell and Dug, a replica of his house was erected and many monuments placed throughout the site to honor them saving the planet. Not much is know about who erected this site for they left the planet roughly 1,042 years ago and no one is sure where they resettled. Most historians believe they have become nomadic and look out to help other planets in peril. We hope you visit this historical heritage site. Explore inside Carl’s house. Visit the hidden “balloon botanical garden”. Explore the Blue Shroom Cavern and hidden spa but beware cavern entrance is booby trapped with neurotoxic flora, be prepared! For the more adventurous explore the underwater caves and submerged statues. Listen to one of Russell’s music compositions in the 420 Studio/lounge in the attic of the house. Much of this system’s discoveries are unnamed and visitors are encouraged to discovery these and name them after favorite film characters. Enjoy your stay!

Notes

 I tend to push the base building complexity limit so there might be some pop in and rendering when trying to land on the landing pad so please keep that in mind when approaching. There are storms about every 10 minutes which last roughly 3 minutes. We encourage visitors to wait out the storms by exploring inside the house and botanical garden as well as the caverns. Also if base icon doesn’t appear when making the first portal jump, try to go back and try again. I’ve found since the Beyond update I have to retry portal jumps when the base icon doesn’t appear.

Base Description

 Castle Grayskull is a tribute to 80’s cartoon show He-Man. This build was also a shout out to No Man’s Sky Youtuber, Cobra TV, who on one of his shows mentioned his love for He-Man and thought it would be cool for someone to build him a Castle Grayskull. Base Description

 “O”asis A ancient archeological heritage site. Here are remnants of the Pastellian civilization. The cliff dwelling Pastellians, now extinct, had a very unique evolution and civilization. Because of the limited and rare amount of fauna on the planet they evolved with a vegetarian diet and a pacifist attitude towards the killing and consumption of fauna. Because of this attitude, in order with not having to kill predators fauna in self defense, they had to resort to building their settlements higher up in the common “O” geological formations on the planet so predatoric fauna could not reach them. Unfortunately the Pastellians, with their pacifism and lack of technology, became extinct when the Gek First Spawn wiped them off their home planet. However there are rumors that a small band of survivors still exist hidden eons later. This rumor was pretty much confirmed when a temple was mysteriously erected on top of this site. The temple has statues which reference the Gek First Spawn genocide. Please use caution when exploring the ruins. This site is unmaintained and in the natural state that it was discovered. Enjoy your visit.

Base Description

 Z-DAY MEMORIAL AND FORT ANASTASIO A historic site where the first battle between the allied forces of Travellers, Gek, Vy’keen and Korvax against the Sentinels occurred during the 2nd Aeron War. This site has a memorial to Operation Z-Day and a restored Allied base. While the base was eventually overrun by the Sentinels and all the Allied defenders killed, their valiant efforts helped solidify the allied coalition and ultimately win the 2nd Aeron War. This system is a tourist system. There is a base on each planet. A winter resort, a war memorial / casino, art museum and resort and a hidden ancient ruin/temple complex.

Notes

 Please note Sentinels still stage aggressive raids on this site so please take caution. The fort can be used for refuge. Also this planet has very hot temperatures during the day and is extremely cold at night and frequent storms so be prepared.

Base Description

 Sauron’s Summer Home was the vacation home of the Dark Lord Sauron who was destroyed by the hobbit Frodo Baggins. It now serves as a universal reminder of the ills of evil.

Notes

 It can be tricky but try to reach the top by exploring inside. There are also many passageways and secret rooms. Try to find the hidden entrance the hobbits made entry with.
